This is a Real Alligator Head measuring approximately 9-1/4 inches long by 5 inches wide.  It is from an approximate 6 foot Louisiana gator.  This is a Real alligator head - NOT a replica.  it may have missing/broken teeth, scars, cuts, etc.  Our alligator heads are from alligator farms where they were harvested for meat.  The gator heads do not have felt backing - the open backs of the heads have been painted black.  There may be an odor from the preserving process and sealant, which will subside once aired out. Alligators have between 74 and 80 teeth in their mouth at a time. As teeth wear down they are replaced. They can go through 2,000 to 3,000 teeth in a lifetime.
