Olive gibbosa shells,  a shiny elongated shell measuring between approximately 2 inches and 2-1/2 inches. This shell is sold in one kilo bags (2.2 pounds). In its natural state, the shell of Agaronia gibbosa is usually a blotched greenish color with a striped yellow band at the siphonal end.  These shiny olive shells  are used in shell baskets, in shell craft projects and in displaying in glass containers.  Oliva is a genus of medium-sized to large sea snails, marine gastropod mollusks in the subfamily Olivinae of the family Olividae, the olive snails or olive shells. Many former species of Oliva have been reclassified under genus Americoliva..
