Wholesale Polished Large West Indian Chank Shells measuring 9 inches long, for seashell display and crafts. This polished large West Indian Chank shell is cream color with a pale peach or pink mouth opening and has been buffed to a light shine. It was imported from Mexico and cleared for legal entry into the US. Our chank shells are Real - Not Imitation. They will have natural imperfections from living in the ocean and aging. No 2 will be identical. They will vary in size, shape and coloring. There may be tiny holes, chipped tips and other natural blemishes on these shells.

The West Indian Chank Shell is found in the Western Atlantic Ocean from the Florida Keys and the Bahamas south to Cuba, the Dominican Republic, Jamaica and Haiti, and on the Caribbean coast of Mexico, Belize, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama and Columbia. Turbinella angulata, common name, the West Indian chank shell or Lamp Shell, is a species of very large tropical sea snail. The basic color of the external shell surface is white, while the inner are may be pink or orange.
