It was imported from South Africa and measures approximately 23-1/2 inches, measured around the curl of the horn and 19 inches measured straight with a ruler. ( See photos. Mouth opening cut flat. You are buying this one) This is from the African Greater Kudu, Tragelaphus strepsiceros. This is a real Natural, Unpolished Kudu Horn - not a replica. It will have natural imperfections from the animal living in the wild, fighting and aging INCLUDING SPLITS, TINY HOLES, SCRAPES, ETC., WHICH WILL NEED TO BE PATCHED. . Kudu horns are used to make shofars or blowing horns, sconces, lamps, furniture legs, knife handles and cane handles, and in numerous other taxidermy crafts. No 2 are identical. Some have a tighter curl than others.
