Authentic African Giraffe Rib Bone (Giraffa camelopardalis) measuring between approximately 17 inches and 33 inches long, measured along the curve of the bone.  They will have imperfections. Chipped edges, tiny holes, small cuts, stains, etc., - review sample photos. These are Real Giraffe Rib Bones - NOT Replicas. No two will be identical. They will vary in size, shape and imperfections.  These were imported from South Africa and cleared for legal entry into the US by the US Fish and Wildlife Department and US Customs.  
A giraffe has 14 pairs of ribs, totaling 28 ribs. This is composed of 7 pairs of true ribs and 7 pairs of false ribs.  Giraffe rib bones are used for carving intricate designs into the bone, painting bone, creating bone necklace pendants and earrings. Additionally, they can be made into knife handles, and used in various other bone crafts.
