1-3/4 to 2-1/4 inches Pearly White Turbo setosus shells in bulk, small hermit crab shells,  common name the rough turban. The rough outer layer was chemically removed revealing a beautiful pearly white layer.  These white turban shells make great homes for small hermit crabs and a beautiful focal point when placed in a glass container.  In their natural condition, they are a heavy shell with a course outer layer with patterns of whitish or greenish coloring, marked with brown and olive.  Turbo setosus is a species of sea snail in the family Turbinidae.  The solid, imperforate shell has an ovate-pointed shape.The ridges are unequal, wider than the interspaces.
