Extra Large Real Louisiana Alligator Head for Sale for display. This Taxidermy Alligator Head is from a Louisiana gator and measures approximately 17 inches long and 9-1/4 inches wide and is from an estimated 10 footer.  A taxidermy process cures the alligator skin and the alligator skull so it will be preserved for years.   This is a real alligator head - not a replica.  It may have missing/broken teeth, scars, scrapes, cuts, etc.  This is from a gator farm or a wild alligator!    It will have imperfections due to aging, fighting and living in the water! Unlike raw pieces with felt backings, the open back of this head is stabilized with a durable foam mold and painted professional matte BLACK for a clean look.  There will be an odor from the clear sealant used on these heads.  The odor will subside over time.

Alligators have between 74 and 80 teeth in their mouth at a time. As teeth wear down they are replaced. An American alligator can go through 2,000 to 3,000 teeth in a lifetime.
