Matching pair of Large African Warthog Ivory Tusks, ivory for carving, measuring 9-7/8 and 9-5/8 inches, measured around the curve of the tusk using a cloth tape measure - not straight!  These are good, commercial grade pairs of large warthog tusks.  Some may have tiny surface cracks, chips and natural worn down tips. (Review all photos carefully - You are buying these.) Warthog ivory is used for making knife handles, carvings, making warthog handles for walking canes and for numerous taxidermy craft projects. Warthogs got their names from the bumps on their faces that look like warts. They also each have four tusks, two on each side of their snouts. The upper tusks are longer and curve toward each other. Warthogs are pigs that live in Africa south of the Sahara.
