These are two Cow Horns, having a rustic hand scraped look, and have been lightly polished. They were sanded and lightly polished and will have a slight shine. The Cow Horns measure approximately 14 inches and 15 inches, measured around the curve of the horn using a cloth tape measure -- NOT straight with a wood ruler. They are Real Sanded Horns - Not Replicas and will have natural imperfections. The bone core has been removed and the rough outer layer of horn has been removed, then they have been sanded and semi-polished to a light shine. They will vary in coloring, size and shape. No 2 will be identical. Horns are used in crafts and decorating including making animal horn jewelry, making knife and cane handles, for carving, in the art of scrimshaw and in making inlaid instruments.
