Product Details

Seashell Dream Catchers in assorted colors,  featuring a circular web of natural fibers accented with a pretty mother of pearl blacklip, pearl abalone, scallop shell or other shells, placed in the middle and strings of white cockle shells with colorful pecten nobilis shells hanging at the bottom.   These shell dream catchers measure approximately 20 inches long and 8 inches wide.
Originally created by American Indians, dreamcatchers today come in a variety of different sizes and styles.  Sometimes referred to as "Sacred Hoops," Ojibwe dreamcatchers were traditionally used as talismans to protect sleeping people, usually children, from bad dreams and nightmares. Native Americans believe that the night air is filled with dreams, both good and bad. When hung above the bed in a place where the morning sunlight can hit it, the dream catcher attracts and catches all sorts of dreams and thoughts into its webs. Good dreams pass through to comfort the sleeper below. Bad dreams, however, are caught up in its protective net and destroyed, burned up in the light of day.

These dream catchers are hand crafted - therefore the sizing will vary slightly.
