Product Details
Wholesale Small Pacific Triton's Trumpet Shells for sale, also called the Giant Triton, Charonia tritonismeasuring 6 inches long imported from Africa.  Our Pacific Triton's Trumpet shell have wide mouth openings and are predominately a rich brown color. Charonia tritonis, common name the Triton's trumpet or the giant triton, is a species of very large sea snail, a marine gastropod mollusc in the family Charoniidae, the tritons. Reaching up to two feet in shell length, this is one of the biggest mollusks in the coral reef. The giant triton is an active predator and is known to aggressively chase its prey, which it detects with its excellent sense of smell. Though the chase may seem slow to human observers, the giant triton is known for relatively high speeds, especially for a snail. It prefers to eat other snails and sea stars, most notably the crown-of-thorns starfish.
These Pacific triton trumpet shells are real  (NOT a replica). They will have natural imperfections from living in the oceans and aging. - May have some calcium, pin holes, blemishes from attached snails and other natural imperfections.
