Polished Ram's Horn Shofar, Sheep Horn Shofar or War Horn, with a light shine. Our Ram's Horn Shofars, Sheep Horn Shofars measure between 14 and 17 inches, measured along the curve of the horn. Each has a hole cut in the tip of the horn and the mouth of the horn has been cut flat. They will vary in color from light golden tan to dark brown. They are made out of Real Ram/Sheep Horn. They are NOT Replicas. All will have natural imperfections.

A shofar is an ancient musical horn typically made of a ram's horn, used for Jewish religious purposes. The shofar was used to announce the new moon and the Jubilee year. The first day of Rosh Hasana is termed a "day of blowing", the shofar. Shofars were used for signifying the start of a war. They were also employed in processions as musical accompaniment, and were inserted into the temple orchestra.
